Here are a few pieces of writing which I have done for various class assignments. Included are a few features I wrote for both my Writing for PR class and a Feature Writing journalism elective. I also included an essay written in Spanish and a mock press kit that I had to put together for a class assignment. The press kit is based off a fictional Southern lifestyle magazine called Southern Homes and Gardens.
Patsy Vincent Feature - a feature written for a Feature Writing class on a woman who serves my social sorority as treasurer advisor.
Feature on Cathy Wayman and the Auburn Majorettes - a feature about preserving the Auburn tradition of the majorettes written for a Feature Writing class
Feature on Dave Denniston - a feature on an alumnus who swam for Auburn and has since suffered a tragic accident causing him to lose the use of his legs, written in the form of a mock press release and published in the Auburn Reporter alumni newsletter.
Spanish Senior Capstone Essay - an analysis of Federico Garcia Lorca's Romance de la pena negra written for the Capstone course for my degree in Spanish.
Southern Homes and Gardens Press Kit - includes a company biography, position piece, pitch letter,fact sheet, broadcast releases and also press releases.
